Yoga Stretch & Roll
Yoga Stretch & Roll combines the foam roller, yoga postures, and stretches in a one-hour workout. This practice enables students to utilize their own body weight in conjunction with the foam roller* and other equipment to achieve the many benefits of foam rolling including myofascial release, increased blood flow and circulation to the soft tissues, and self-massage. Foam rollers assist to enhance core strength, stabilization, balance, and coordination.
Yoga Stretch & Roll is offered Tuesdays at 3:00 pm and Thursdays at 7:30 am in the Beardsley Agave Room.

PARTICIPATION

  • This class is open ONLY to SCW Yoga Club members and guests

  • Open to ALL SKILL LEVELS

  • Cost is $4 per participant

  • Please bring your yoga mat, water, and foam roller* to class

*Foam rollers are available for first-time students to borrow for use in class. There are only 5 rollers to try so come early if you want to get one. They are provided on a first come, first served basis. If there are none left, try the following week. 

Students also may purchase foam rollers in class from Chris for $22. Chris buys them in quantity and sells them at cost. Of course, students may purchase the rollers elsewhere if they choose. 

The recommended foam roller is the gray, medium-firm roller, 36 inch x 6 inch. See image below.

Chris Cavaletto has over 16 years of fitness experience, works with individual clients, and teaches many classes, including yoga in Sun City West.
