Over 20 years ago, Jan enrolled in an evening Tai Chi class at a local high school. From the first class, she was hooked. Although she showed no grace, balance, or ability to follow the movements, Jan knew this was the exercise class for her.
Many years later, Jan attended the MingWellness Tai Chi Academy, earning the certificate of Instructor, along with teaching certificates from three other schools. For the last 10+ years she has introduced beginners to the joy of moving meditation, gentle stretching, and balancing, called Tai Chi and Qigong.
Jan’s classes are a blend of techniques personally learned from grandmasters and masters of the art in Yang and Wudang styles. All movements can be modified to fit any level, from seated to deep and low stances.
